Accessories Quality Control in Portugal
PT Footwear | QC provides independent, on-the-ground quality control for accessories produced in Portugal. Inspections are guided by the client’s approved sample, specifications and agreed quality requirements, with attention to materials, construction, components, hardware, dimensions, workmanship and presentation.
The objective is to verify production directly at the factory, identify deviations while they can still be acted on and give your team clear, first-hand information without adding another commercial layer between you and the manufacturer.
Five key inspection areas for accessories
1. Approved Sample & Specification
Accessories are checked against the approved reference sample and product specification, including style, colour, materials, dimensions, branding, components and other client-defined details. The purpose is to confirm that production remains aligned with what was approved.
2. Materials, Components & Construction
Main materials, linings, panels, straps, reinforcements and assembled components are reviewed according to the item and specification. Cutting, positioning, joining, stitching and visible construction are checked for consistency across the inspected pieces.
3. Hardware, Trims & Functional Details
Zips, buckles, snaps, hooks, rings, fasteners, decorative trims and other hardware are reviewed as applicable. Positioning, finish and visible attachment are checked against the approved standard, together with the basic operation of moving or closing components.
4. Dimensions, Workmanship & Appearance
Relevant dimensions are checked where specified. Shape, symmetry, colour, branding, surface condition and overall finishing are reviewed for visible defects such as marks, scratches, loose threads, uneven stitching, irregular edges, misaligned components or inconsistent assembly.
5. Packaging & Shipment Readiness
Quantities, assortments, labels, barcodes, protective materials, individual packaging and shipping cartons are checked against the order and client requirements. The final objective is to confirm that the inspected accessories are correctly identified, protected, presented and prepared for shipment.
