Bag Quality Control in Portugal
PT Footwear | QC provides independent, on-the-ground quality control for bag production in Portugal. Inspections are guided by the client’s approved sample, specifications and agreed quality requirements, with particular attention to materials, construction, stitching, edge finishing, hardware, closures, dimensions and overall workmanship.
The objective is to verify production directly at the factory, identify deviations while they can still be acted on and give your team clear, first-hand information without adding another commercial layer between you and the manufacturer.
Five key inspection areas for bags
1. Approved Sample & Specification
Bags are checked against the approved reference sample and product specification, including style, colour, materials, dimensions, branding, components, hardware, lining and other client-defined details. The purpose is to confirm that production remains aligned with what was approved.
2. Materials, Panels & Construction
Outer materials, lining, panels, reinforcements, handles, straps, pockets and internal construction are reviewed according to the model and specification. Cutting, alignment, assembly and visible material consistency are checked across the inspected pieces.
3. Stitching, Edges & Hardware
Stitching, seams, edge paint or edge finishing, zips, buckles, snaps, magnetic closures, rings and other hardware are reviewed as applicable. Positioning, finish and visible attachment are checked for consistency, together with the basic function of closures and moving components.
4. Dimensions, Workmanship & Appearance
Relevant dimensions are checked against the specification where required. Shape, symmetry, colour, logo placement, surface condition and overall finishing are reviewed for visible defects such as marks, scratches, uneven stitching, loose threads, wrinkles, edge irregularities or inconsistent assembly.
5. Packaging & Shipment Readiness
Quantities, assortments, labels, barcodes, protective materials, dust bags, individual packaging and shipping cartons are checked against the order and client requirements. The final objective is to confirm that the inspected bags are correctly identified, protected, presented and prepared for shipment.
