Sneakers inspected for independent quality control in Portugal

Sneaker Quality Control in Portugal

PT Footwear | QC provides independent, on-the-ground quality control for sneaker production in Portugal. Inspections are guided by the client’s approved sample, specifications and agreed quality requirements, with particular attention to the upper, sole unit, assembly and pair consistency.

The objective is to verify production directly at the factory, identify deviations while they can still be acted on and give your team clear, first-hand information without adding another commercial layer between you and the manufacturer.

WHAT WE CHECK

Five key inspection areas for sneakers

1. Approved Sample & Specification

Sneakers are checked against the approved reference sample and product specification, including style, colour, materials, components, branding, size identification and client-defined details. The purpose is to confirm that production remains aligned with what was approved.

2. Upper Materials & Construction

The upper is reviewed according to the model and specification, including leather, textile, mesh or knit materials, overlays, lining, tongue, collar, eyelets, laces and visible reinforcements. Stitching, positioning and assembly are checked for consistency across the inspected pairs.

3. Sole Unit & Assembly

Midsole and outsole alignment, visible bonding, edge finishing and the connection between upper and sole are reviewed for consistency with the approved standard. Particular attention is given to glue marks, gaps, misalignment, deformation and other visible assembly defects.

4. Workmanship, Pair Consistency & Sizing

Left and right sneakers are assessed as a pair for shape, symmetry, colour, finishing and overall appearance. Size marking, relevant measurements, closures and functional details are checked where specified, together with visible workmanship defects that could affect presentation or use.

5. Packaging & Shipment Readiness

Quantities, assortments, labels, barcodes, individual packaging and shipping cartons are checked against the order and client requirements. The final objective is to confirm that the inspected sneakers are correctly identified, presented and prepared for shipment.
