In-Line Footwear Production Inspections in Portugal
PT Footwear | QC carries out independent inspections while footwear production is still in progress, giving the client a direct view of quality before the order reaches completion. The purpose is to identify deviations, recurring defects and specification issues while there is still time to investigate and act.
Clients can continue working directly with their factory or agent while PT Footwear | QC checks the order on the factory floor and reports what is observed. An in-line inspection is a defined inspection at a production stage; ongoing day-to-day oversight is covered separately under Production Monitoring & Quality Control.
Check quality while there is still time to act
1. Production Stage & Order Status
The inspection starts by confirming the stage of production and the quantities available as semi-finished, finished or packed goods where relevant. This provides context for the inspection and helps the client understand how far the order has progressed at the time of the visit.
2. Specification & Approved Reference
Available production is checked against the approved sample, product specification and client requirements. Style, colour, materials, components, dimensions, branding, labelling and other defined details are reviewed according to the product and the stage reached.
3. Workmanship & Recurring Defects
Workmanship is reviewed for visible defects and inconsistencies that may already be repeating through production. Depending on the footwear, this can include stitching, bonding, lasting, sole or heel attachment, component positioning, finishing, symmetry, marks, colour variation and other product-specific issues.
4. Process Deviations & Points for Attention
When recurring or significant deviations are observed, they are documented clearly and highlighted to the client. The aim is to identify where closer attention, clarification or corrective action may be needed before the same issue continues through a larger part of the order.
5. Direct Findings & Follow-Up
Findings are reported with written observations and photographic evidence where relevant, giving the client a first-hand view of the production stage inspected. Open points can then be followed with the factory or agent and, where needed, checked again at a later production stage or final inspection.
Find deviations before they become finished stock.
