Clients keep the commercial relationship directly with their factory or agent while PT Footwear | QC verifies what is physically prepared for shipment on the ground in Portugal. This service complements Final Footwear Inspection: the final inspection focuses primarily on the finished product, while pre-shipment checks focus on whether the order is correctly identified, packed and prepared to leave the factory.
Confirm the order before it leaves the factory
1. Quantities & Assortments
Available finished and packed quantities are checked against the order information provided by the client. Style, colour and size assortments can also be reviewed so shortages, overages or packing mismatches are identified before dispatch.
2. Labels, Barcodes & Product Identification
Size labels, product labels, tags, barcodes, artwork and other identification details are checked against the approved requirements where available. The objective is to identify incorrect, missing or inconsistent information before goods enter the logistics chain.
3. Individual & Inner Packaging
Shoe boxes, tissue, bags, inserts, protective materials and inner packing are reviewed according to the client’s instructions. Presentation, product protection and consistency are checked so the goods are packed as expected for handling, transport and delivery.
4. Export Cartons & Shipping Marks
Outer cartons are checked for carton count, visible condition, dimensions or weights where required, packing configuration and shipping marks. Relevant destination, order or carton information can be compared with the client’s documentation before the goods leave the factory.
5. Shipment Readiness & Independent Findings
Open points are documented with written observations and photographs where relevant, giving the client a direct view of what is ready to ship and what may still require correction or clarification. The service supports the client’s shipment decision but does not replace freight, customs or regulatory certification requirements.
