SAMPLE VALIDATION

Sample Validation for Industrialisation in Portugal

Before bulk production begins, PT Footwear | QC provides an independent review of the approved sample and the key references that will guide industrial production. The purpose is to identify discrepancies, unclear points and quality risks before they are repeated across an order.

Clients can continue working directly with their factory or agent while keeping an independent view of whether the product and production references are aligned for the next stage. The service supports the client’s decision-making; it does not replace the factory’s technical responsibility or the client’s final approval.

WHAT WE VALIDATE

From approved sample to production readiness

1. Approved Sample & Specification Alignment

The approved sample is reviewed against the available product specification, technical references and client requirements. Style, construction, dimensions, colour, branding and other defined details are checked for inconsistencies or open points that could create different interpretations in production.

2. Materials & Components Confirmation

Key materials and components are checked against the approved references where available, including uppers, linings, soles, heels, insoles, hardware, trims and packaging requirements as applicable. Substitutions, visible differences or unresolved component details are flagged before bulk production.

3. Construction & Industrial Consistency

Construction details are reviewed with attention to how the approved sample will be reproduced consistently in production. Areas that may be sensitive when moving from sample making to bulk manufacture — such as assembly, stitching, bonding, component positioning, finishing or tolerances — are identified for closer control.

4. Quality Risks & Control Points

Potential quality risks are identified before scale, focusing on issues that could lead to recurring defects, variation, rework or avoidable delays. Critical points can then be followed more closely during in-line inspections and production monitoring.

5. Readiness Findings & Next Actions

Findings are documented clearly, with photos and written observations where relevant, so the client can discuss open points directly with the factory or agent. The objective is to enter bulk production with fewer assumptions, clearer references and a better understanding of the risks that still require attention.
